I am sure I’m not going back to drugs. Something’s changed in my body to make me feel and think differently. I’m going to get any job, save some money, get some nice clothes to make me feel better, go to the gym and get a decent job. I’d like to get a flat – maybe in Winchester. My local Council Offices sent me to this town because of the Night Shelter here. That’s a good place – it’s just what I need right now to get me up and going. I can stay for 28 days. Winchester feels safe and the Trinity Centre has a good community feel to it. The day is the loneliest time when you’re in a night shelter, so it’s good to have Trinity.
I’ve had enough of the ups and downs. I’m 23 and I want to start my life again.
I’ve just moved into a brand new one bedroom flat. It comes fitted with a kitchen, toilet, bath & shower but I’m still waiting for a community care grant to get furniture. It’s centrally heated as well – absolutely lovely -and it’s really nice to have my own key.
If it wasn’t for the help and advice given by the staff at Trinity none of this would have happened. Their knowledge about different things and the way they help you fill in and word forms is absolutely brilliant.
I would say, after three years of homelessness, ‘don’t give up hope.’
I came to Trinity with a few mates. It’s all right – it’s somewhere for you to go to keep you occupied– to stop you thinking about drugs.
I love coming to Trinity in the day. The hostel told me about it. Everyone’s so lovely here – so welcoming. I like the advice and help I’m given – it feels like home.
